Based in Wagga Wagga – Regional NSW, Landaco Equipment is a manufacturer of fertiliser spreading equipment.  We currently have an opportunity for a SolidWorks 3D CAD Designer.

Applicants must be highly proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD & have good mechanical and sheet metal knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 3D CAD Design Experience – SolidWorks

  • Mechanical Design Experience

  • Attention to Detail

  • Good Communication Skills

 

The ideal candidate will have had experience in the design & drawing of Agricultural Machinery, Heavy Vehicle Equipment, Automotive Design or Construction Equipment.

The successful applicant will need to be a reliable, self-starter with excellent work ethics & have a good level of physical fitness.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SolidWorks CAD Designer to join our design team. In this role you will contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge agricultural machinery and heavy vehicle equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise and creative problem solving will make a significant impact on our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks CAD
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to refine mechanical designs and sheet metal components
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards and Landaco’s quality expectations
  • Support prototyping and testing phases by providing accurate documentation
  • Engage in continuous improvement and design optimisation processes


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD
  • Strong background in mechanical design and sheet metal fabrication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Proven experience in designing agricultural machinery, heavy vehicle equipment, automotive or construction equipment is highly regarded
