What is the history behind the Landaco brand?
The Landaco brand, founded by Norman Connor, a farmer from Hay, NSW, began as an agricultural machinery sales business in the early 1980s. Norman's son, Peter, joined in 1985. They saw the need for better spreading equipment and developed a belt-driven spreader with hydraulic spinners, a notable innovation. In 1997, the company, under Peter's management, moved to Wagga Wagga, NSW, to expand production and enhance their agricultural machinery range. Peter's expertise in engineering and industry knowledge has since driven Landaco's success in the agricultural sector.

How wide do they spread?
Between 10 to 50 metres, depending on the material, the relative density and moisture content. See: Kondinin Test for Urea & Lime results
or 4B8 ICS Spinner System. For additional Spread Testing data please contact Landaco.
Why should I buy a Landaco in preference to another brand?
Most importantly they will spread just about any type of material evenly and to wide width when needed, reducing time, compaction and fuel.
Made from heavy gauge 4-6mm folded steel, Landaco spreaders are extremely robust and engineered to tolerate weight and operational demands well in excess of their capacity. For example, the T100 (10 tonnes) spreader is built with a rated 15-tonne capacity 10 stud axle.
The more efficient hydraulic spinners are standard on Landaco spreaders, not an optional extra.
Landaco spreaders are very simple to operate, maintenance is minimal with an average of only six grease points, and by using the hydraulic drive to the spinners and avoiding the use of shafts and various “V” belts, there is no need to keep replacing bearings and belts, or have slippage and thus irregular spread patterns.
What other features do they have?
Many farmers like the idea that they can use their spreader as a field bin. Just two bolts either end of the spinner deck and it can be removed, and if fitted with the hydraulic overdrive into the transmission, the driver can back up to a hopper and from the cabin quickly do a stationary unload of contents.
The unobstructed flow of material from the rear is achieved through an 800mm wide rear door (with an automatic option), opening to a height of 400mm, and delivering material directly onto the larger than usual 800mm diameter twin dished spinners.
An attachment can be fitted to limit spreading to just below the drip line on vineyards or orchards etc.

How Do I Calibrate My Spreader for Different Materials?
Consult the Manual: Start by checking your spreader's manual. It provides initial calibration settings based on different material types, which is essential for getting started.
Use the Rate Calculator: Landaco spreaders come with an included rate calculator program. This tool helps in determining the correct settings for various materials, ensuring precise application rates.
Test and Adjust: After setting your spreader using the manual and rate calculator, perform a few test spreads. Based on the results, fine-tune the settings to achieve the desired application rate accurately.

Over 30 years.
Where are Landaco spreaders manufactured?
Landaco spreaders are designed and manufactured in Australia. Our factory and offices are located in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
I have heard that without chains you can get bridging of material or belt slip?
Not so. Our belts are an 800mm wide endless 3 ply rubber conveyor available in cleated or smooth for both Maxispread and Agrispread Machines. Self-cleaning tracking rollers maintain the line, and the entire conveyor travels on a bed of rollers, thus eliminating any possibility of bridging.
Is it easy to calibrate spreading rates?
Yes. A quick-set chart is located on the back of the spreader, and the rear door is opened to the appropriate height. In addition, we provide customised software that allows the operator to enter the rate required, the material being spread, and will automatically advise how high the rear door should be opened.
Are there any exposed gears or sprockets?
No. The reduction gearbox is sealed to avoid contamination, and the sprockets are pre-packed in a bed of grease.
What is the warranty?
Warranty is 24 months (2 years) on all Maxispreads and 12 months (1 year) on all Agrispreads.
What is the procedure for shipping bulky or large orders?
To organise alternate freight and costs for bulky items or large orders please contact the Landaco office on 1800 358 600.
What is our refund policy?
Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.
